モーター内部Various types of electric motors are used in products around us. Among the many types of electric motors, DC motors have some advantages such as efficiency, control, downsizing, and low cost. Approximately, 60 DC motors are equipped on a compact sized car. Moreover, some cars can have as many as 120 DC motors. There are a wide range of applications such as Starter, Alternator, ABS, Fuel Pump, Wiper, EPS, Power Window, Blower for Air-Conditioner, Radiator Fan, Throttle Control, and Window Washer Pump. Most of them are important products called “Functional Components”. For example, if a starter stops, the engine can not start. If a radiator fan motor stops, it causes the engine to overheat. Those are the products which have to pass strict quality standards because the quality may affect driving performance or our life. Carbon brushes are essential products for DC motors. The electric current supplied from carbon brushes, by sliding on a commutator, changes the magnetic field on rotor. The repelling force caused by the magnetic field change, allows continuous rotation to be possible. Using our experience and expertise for material adjustments and development, our carbon brushes can meet various demands such as mechanical wear related to friction against rotating commutator, conductivity, etc.

We have over 60 years of experience manufacturing carbon brushes and our market share of carbon brush for automobiles in Japan is more than 60%.
